The preservation of the agro-ecosystem is a core commitment at Vezyroglou Farm, driving active sustainability and long-term environmental balance.
Mild cultivation encompasses a comprehensive framework of processes and control systems. These are implemented across all stages through continuous field monitoring by specialized agronomists and the deployment of advanced agricultural technology.
Irrigation
We exclusively utilize drip irrigation and micro-sprinkler systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and conservation across our fields.
Fertilization
Through continuous soil analysis, we apply strictly targeted nutrition. We implement green manuring to reduce the use of synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, lower nitrate levels in our produce, and naturally enhance soil biology.
Crop Protection
Cultivating within greenhouses and net houses creates a natural shield that minimizes pest pressure and reduces reliance on crop protection products. We rely extensively on biological formulations and continuous crop monitoring to ensure interventions are strictly targeted. Additionally, we use closed-loop collection, drying, and disposal systems for crop protection residues to prevent any impact on soil, drainage systems, and groundwater.
Strategic Crop Rotation
We systematically alternate crop families across our fields to maintain soil structure, prevent soil-borne diseases, and limit the need for crop protection interventions.
Renewable Energy
We have installed rooftop photovoltaic systems (net metering) across our facilities, transitioning our operations to green electricity and reducing our carbon footprint.
Sustainable Packaging
To support a circular economy, all our product packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials.
